Cure?

[Bobby Drake]

Bobby ran into the room as he heard the news that a cure for the mutant gene was being announced on TV. "Damn it." he thought. "This isn't good." He had the feeling that they were going to start forcing the cure on every mutant that they could find and that Xavier's was the breeding ground for the first batch of so-called "volunteers."

[Sierra Parker]

Sierra walked into the room when she heard that someone was talking about the 'Cure'. She watched the TV and at first said nothing. "We are not a disease!" She said in a angry rage. Sierra moved and sat down on the couch, running a hand threw her hair, trying to calm herself down. How dare those normal people try to force a cure onto them, trying to make them normal. She turned her head and looked at Bobby, a worried expression on her face. "You think they will come after us, Bobby?" She asked him softly.

[Bobby Drake]

Bobby looked over in Sierra's direction and nodded. "It's logic to them." he replied. "This is the biggest group of mutants living in one area."

[Sierra Parker]

Sierra looked at him before she turned and looked at the TV again. "Well, I'm not going to let them even get close to me with that cure." She said softly as she watched as the people clapped in the TV. "Arn't you scared?" She asked him as she looked back over at Bobby. Of course she was scared, even more then scared. She didn't want her powers to go away forever. She wanted to keep them and not get rid of them because the 'normal' people want mutants cured.

[Bobby Drake]

He gulped and thought about lieing for a second. "Just a little bit." he confessed. He wasn't a little scared, he was extremely scared. It was one of the times he could hide it above the surface. "The best thing to do is not worry about it I guess. Just stay alert for whatever comes ."

[Sierra Parker]

"Not worry about it? I wish it was only that simple... I mean we always have to know that someone on the street could just inject the cure into us." Sierra said to him quickly. Maybe she was over-reacting and getting angry, but anyone who didn't want to loose their powers would. She sighed softly as her eyes focused on the TV and it began to flicker then turned off. "Want to play some pool?" She asked, trying to change the subject.

[Bobby Drake]

"Uh, sure." he said. Anything to get his mind off of the cure was fine with him. He walked over to the pool table and picked up a cue off of the rack.

[Sierra Parker]

Sierra smiled as she walked over to the pool table, holding out her hand so a pool cue flew into her hand. "Ready to get beaten?" She asked with a smile on her face as she leaned slightly on her cue.

[Bobby Drake]

Bobby chuckled quietly. "I don't know about that." he replied. "I think you're going to be the one who's losing." He took the balls out of the pocket near the bottom of the table and put them in the triangle formation. "You wanna start or should I?"

[Sierra Parker]

Sierra smiled as she grabbed the white ball and placed it on the pool table. She moved her cue and put it between her fingers as she pulled it back and pushed it forward, hitting it and sending hitting the other balls, sending one striped one into the little pocket in the corner, while one slowly moved to the other corner where it stoped. She looked at it for a few seconds before it moved the last centimeter and into the pocket as she smirked up at him. "Still think you are going to win?" She said, deciding to let him have a go at it.

[Bobby Drake]

"I might." he replied. "Who knows what could happen." Bobby lined up his cue with the cue ball toward a ball near the corner pocket. He took his shot and at the same time let ice slide under the ball directing it toward the ball he was aiming for. Slowly the ball he was aiming for dropped down into the pocket. He grinned. "You want a fair game or not?"

[Sierra Parker]

Sierra gave a tiny smirk as she watched him. "But playing fair is so boring." She said to him with a small smile as she watched him. She moved around the table to where the white ball was and aimed it in between a solid colored one and striped one. She smiled and hit it, sending it between them, but bouncing back and hitting the striped one, which fell into one of the side pockets. She smiled and stood up straight, her eyes on him. "If you want to play fair, I will." She said to him as she moved away, to let him go.

[Bobby Drake]

He lined up another shot hitting the cue ball towards two balls side by side knocking both in by using another patch of ice. "Yeah, I'll play fair." He applied a bit of chalk to the tip of his cue stick and stepped back waiting for her next move.

[Sierra Parker]

Sierra smiled as she saw him use ice again. "Alright, but if I make some lucky shots, don't go saying that I wasn't playing fair." She said to him as she puts some chalk on her cue and lined it up with the cue ball. She hits it and sends it hitting a striped one in, but also knocking a solid in. She turned and looked at him, her face slightly red. "Well...I...That...Mistake.." She said to him, embaressed about hitting a solid in.

[Bobby Drake]

He grinned. "Well I won't and I'll find that last one as a lucky one for me." he replied. He lined up another shot aiming for a solid along the railing of the table. He hit the cue ball so it went rolling towards the ball. Slowly it made the solid ball move a few feet and into the pocket.
